Why Nepal’s Classrooms Need Us
In Nepal’s most marginalized communities:
1 in 5 children drops out before 5th grade (UNESCO)
Schools often lack textbooks, desks, or trained teachers
Girls and children with disabilities face steep barriers
Our Response? A full-scale SDG 4 offensive:
On the Ground: Our Education Revolution
1. Delivering Hope (Literally)
This month, our team trekked to 12 remote schools, distributing:
5,000+ textbooks (Nepali, English, STEM)
Classroom kits (pencils, notebooks, solar lamps)
Hygiene supplies (soap, menstrual products to keep girls in school)
"These books are our first ever with color pictures," shared a teacher in Gorkha.
2. Teachers as Change-Makers
We’re piloting a "Train the Trainer" program to:
Coach educators in child-centered teaching
Integrate disability-inclusive methods
Build STEM labs from local materials
3. Classrooms for All
Working with parents and policymakers, we’re:
Retrofitting schools with ramps and braille materials
Launching mobile libraries for nomadic communities
Advocating for policy changes on education equity
The Ripple Effect
Meet Sunita (14), Dolakha District:
"I used to share one pencil with three friends. Now I have my own books—and I’ll be the first in my family to finish school."
