Igniting Hope: How Better World Charity Empowered Bamenda’s Women During Women’s Month
A Mission to Build Mighty Women
In celebration of Women’s Month 2024, Better World Charity partnered with ENYSEM to launch a transformative 3-day outreach program in Bamenda. Designed to educate, inspire, and equip young women with the tools to shatter limitations, this initiative brought together bright, ambitious minds from the CCC Mankon Bamenda Campus and beyond.
The goal? To remind every participant:
“You have the power to be anything you want to be.”
Day 1-2: Campus Workshops – Knowledge as a Catalyst
The program kicked off with interactive sessions at CCC Mankon Bamenda, where young women engaged in:
Skill-building workshops (leadership, financial literacy, and career planning)
Mentorship circles with local female leaders
Confidence-boosting exercises to combat self-doubt
One participant shared:
“I never knew how to articulate my dreams—today, I’m drafting my first business plan!”
Day 3: Taking Empowerment to the Streets
The finale shifted to community activism, where the team:
Shared stories of resilience with market women, students, and mothers
Distributed motivational resources (books, guides, and contact info for ongoing support)
Listened to personal struggles, offering actionable advice
The highlight? Seeing the spark in their eyes as women realized:
“My voice matters.”
